I probably made a ton of proportion mistakes but I DON'T CARE. I'm too tired and this is the most fan art I did in years lol.
Enjoy.

Well his obsession with faith and nasty attitude towards the bright wizard, give him a sort of fanatical, Inquisition, witch hunter vibe, but I like that about him, he's comical, and he acts like he's almost got a small man crush on poor Kruber, (Who is a lovable soul) the way he speaks to him and about him. At least in Vermentide I, I have not watched much of II, but oh my goodness I want to try these games out! All the characters look incredible, feel incredible, but Salty here has to be my favorite...

They are a bit colder to each other [all of them except sienna-kerillian] in V2.
I think it was an unintended side effect from developing the game by the developers. But it works regardless.
I disagree about the man crush I've heard quite a few offensive lines exchanged between all of them lol but maybe it's just me x3.
As for sienna, victor doesn't like her, true, for what she is, but he's grown much nicer to her in a way. Not entirely evident in all lines, but there are a few lines where he tolerates her. Plus its his job to hunt all manner of magic and destroy it. So can't really hold it against him lol, the whole order is full of fanatics int hat regard.

Oh yeah, they definitely aren't as hostile. Or, rather, it seems to me that most of them now have a friendship born out of mutual rivalry and dislike, if that makes sense. People who normally hate each other become friends thanks to being forced to work together in battle tends to make a strange relationship.
At one point, I got separated as Saltzpyre, and he said "Sigmar, please guide me back to my... comrades?" And that pause he was making noise like he was trying to think of something other than 'friends'.

Yea, and I noticed when she dies, he laments her death as if he did care, but not the elf, it's like "OH WELL!"

At 1:50, that "Don't mock the sergeants sense of duty." I was joking with the :Man crush" but he acts far warmer to him than the others, and seems to be quite fond of the dwarf too.
I have been listening to tons of dialogs and back and forth banter conversations, among other things, since i don't have the game, they can be hilarious.
You're awesome KhatM, love your work, and you have excellent taste.

I like how you get a bunch of the little details about Saltzpyre's face right. He has a more introspective expression than his typical scowl, I wonder what is on his mind.
I find Saltzpyre to be a very interesting character in general. I don't think we, the players, are supposed to really like him in the typical sense, but you can see how he is very slowly starting to accept the people he travels with as his comrades, maybe even his friends.
Plus, it does occur to me that he's a zealous witch hunter in a world where basically all of the worst fears of Renaissance Europe are true: witches and dark magic both exist, and pose a massive threat to the Empire from within in a way that even many of its external enemies do not.

All of this ^.
I like his character because it's a lot ore complicated than just a crazed and zealous witch hunter. It's not like he decided to act like that from the start. There were causes to everything [aak what you mentioned] and yeah, you an really hear t int he dialogues that he is slowly coming to accept his fellow team mates.

He's clearly a very emotionally and mentally repressed person, given that he was literally raised in the Witch Hunter's order, Victor has never really known anything else.
Also in Vermintide II, the different classes of Saltzpyre you can play show different paths his life can take: he forsakes any allegiance to the faith and takes up the life of a bounty hunter, or he basically abandons all else and becomes a Zealot.
I do think ultimately he accepts his comrades, albeit some more than others.
