Because they do have them according to half of the official interpretations. In the old Aliens vs Predator novels, Dachande points out they have them. In Aliens/Predator/Witchblade/Darkness: Mindhunter, they have them. In the new Predator novels, I have not read Forever Midnight but despite including females in the story I don't recall Flesh and Blood explicitly stating whether they did or not, so that may be up for interpretation... And then in Aliens vs Predator: Deadliest of the Species, Big Momma lacked them but was still larger than the males with hips that looked a bit more child-bearing.
Since this one's based on the yautja continuity of the old franchise, not the hish continuity of the new? She gets the tits.

What more baffles me is why most people draw the females smaller, when every official interpretation except for Flesh and Blood's seems to take time to point out the females are larger and stronger, with a higher sociological ranking. And in Flesh and Blood even, they seemed described as about the same size with equal standing.
That'd be Aliens vs Predator: Deadliest of the Species. For the record? It's... Not really part of any canon but its own basically, kinda went way out there with a lot of things and nixed itself from the continuities of the other series by conflicting wayyyyy too much with them. If you ever get the chance I suggest grabbing the novel Aliens vs Predator: Prey, or its comic version which is outright Aliens vs Predator (1989-1990). Fun fact... It was also written by an ex-writer for those cheesy 80's-early 90's X-Men comics, pretty sure they were let go on agitated terms... Notice anything about Big Momma's trophy wall? XD
If you have the option... Don't go for the new version of the original AvP comics that's been freshly recolored if you do try to find it, it's amazing but somehow just the choices in colors really gives off some different impressions to the story. Makes things feel a lot more cliche' with how they did it. (See: Doctors wear white, badasses wear black, aliens are green, night time? What's that? Who needs a story to look like it's taking place over the span of most of a week? Things should happen in one afternoon and end at sunset.)

I do remember the female predators nd they were bad ass as all hell! @.@ in one comic i saw there was a whole unit of 4 of them with a female human in the group might be that Big momma comic. though I have only seen for a short time a comic with a predator more badass then the females... <.< it was an AVP one but i don't remember what it was called just the predator they showed in it i could only call the "king" for what he does @.@
ok, pretty nice being informed about that since i really like the avp comics, but ill try to find the Aliens Vs predator comic, im not sure if i have it or not, since the omnibuses i have are being stored in a different apartment.
But i cant remember what aws on big mommas wall, was it that comic with Cyclops head? (might be wrong here but i seem to remember one avp comic with his head as a trophy)

What I heard said Forever Midnight called the preds hermaphroditic, (Probably an exaggeration.) which conflicts with the Hish of Flesh and Blood who don't seem anywhere near as bad as those horror stories. Flesh and Blood actually isn't a bad book, worth a read. Though the preds just don't feel like the preds of the old movies, comics, or novels in it. As for a Hish continuity... Ha! What continuity? Every new predator book seems to talk about a completely different culture and species with similarities to each other. It's like the different takes on elves in the billion fantasy novels, that's sorta what the Aliens and Predator books feel like these days. Just SciFi novels that take species ideas from other SciFi novels like every fantasy book out there now uses Tolkein's elves instead of the grumpy bearded old man midgets of mythology.
The new Predator and Aliens vs Predator comics, to my knowledge, aren't going to have a basis on any specific pre-established continuity, they're their own. Though how the Aliens series relaunched seems to imply either that the writer is going to write a new history for an Earth Hive scenario, or is pulling an AvP: Requiem with "it's not meant to be a continuation of that, but here's something so you can treat it as such if you want."

Well, here's to hoping they use most of the continuity from the old novels, comic books and games. Didn't at least one of the old games refer to them as Yautja? It's been way too long, I used to be really into this stuff. I know the arcade game wasn't canon but I blew so, so many quarters on that thing...
What else has that writer worked on? Hopefully something like the Star Wars EU comic books, I mean this is all Dark Horse again, right?

He's worked on some past Aliens and Predator comics, and I think Hellboy. I dunno, personally I'm fine with the idea of them building a new Universe. *Shrugs.* It works for Transformers, afterall. Nothing wrong with multiple continuities, the fandom's full of people bitching about which is the right one as it is anyway and a number of the old comics still conflicted with each other. So it'll be nice to have something more solid.
... Forgot to log onto my non-PCA account for this. Thanks loads again, BH! It came out beautifully and much like with Sugar the Garde, you actually improved her armor's design when compared to how it was initially thought up. Just sorry for not having more visuals ready for ya beforehand with her.
Honestly the idea of 'clean up' for me brings a different scenario to mind.
Pred Fem: "<Three days ago I was scorching coagulated space particles out of the engines. Then that 'elite' scientist decided to screw with the canister of Xeno-eggs and give them a boost. Now They're loose, and you won't shut the hell up. This was not in my job description!>"
*Incinerates Xeno-morph*
Pred Fem: "<Not that I mind at all>"
Human: Um.... you translator is of... you know that?"
Pred Fem: ??? ... !!! *face palm*

Ehhh... Ever read the series? Notice how many worlds belong to the xenos in the expanded Universe? ... Yeah, not quite always. >_> If anything, somehow those two species have wound up in a strange sort of parasitic relationship with each other. (Ha ha... Xenos, parasitic...) The xenos rely on the preds to spread, the preds rely on the xenos to keep the backbone of their entire culture from collapsing.
Eh, with the exception of the new ones coming out they're all just novelizations of the comics anyway. But I still say some are really worth a read, they expand upon and improve the stories dramatically a lot of the time. ... And damnit, for the comment on the AvP movie and Resurrection, I almost desire to hug you.
After AvP, Fox started promising a sequel to that, a new Aliens movie, and a new Predator movie. With the titles being circulated again, Dakrhorse started making new novels, most of which follow their own new continuity rather than being linked to the old books. They've also recently relaunched both Aliens and Predator comics, and are starting up the new Aliens vs Predator comics some time in 2010. All the comics are being written by the same guy... Which should help an ungodly amount with keeping up a continuity with each other.
They've appeared in a few of the old comics with some very different interpretations, usually in positions of leadership, then in the old novel Aliens vs Predator: Prey Dachande remembers a whooole lot about them... Bigger, stronger, and more prone to violence than the males... Kinda tyranically rule with a matriarch. Until a male's been blooded it seems he isn't even really considered a person outside of his hunting clan surrounded by fellow males, and a female has the right to kill him for arbitrary reasons like "he was in my path." Even though things like that are rare.
The new books that use "Hish" instead of the classic 80's - early 2000's "yautja" all have extremely different interpretations though. Even from each other. =/ One doesn't really make any note of difference except that one pred is or isn't female, and one said they as a species are functional hermaphrodites. The others haven't really made any mention of a pred's actual sex or said much of anything about their species biologically.
