I love how Tobi's totally chill with you hanging around it, like... Let's you just follow it around and sometimes it turns its head as if its looking at you and just going "Oh, hey hunter" all casual like

god i feel u there tho? like kirin is a rough fight and its not one that i enjoy, i believe kirin is what made me switch permanently from charge blade to the bow just because with the charge blade, i wasn't fast enough to dodge its damn lightning strikes ;u;

i sorta get that same "oh a hunter" from odogaron too, it just turns and makes you go oh shit, then it goes back to whatever its doing

Worky work ree? And yeah, there were plans. Like, the way they were going to introduce him? He actually comes up and throws anjanath to the side like Rathalos does. Got scrapped over one little issue though, but maybe maaaybe if the community keeps the talk about ig going they might change their minds. I mean he was a popular mascot + they got a load of crap over removing him, and with World being deemed their best selling game of all time... Well who knows. If they bring him back in his own biome though (Heard rumors of an "island" in the works) it'd be awesome if they reworked that Anjanath scene into maybe say Plesioth. Have lagiacrus wrestle him into submission then throw him to the ground, either as an intro or a Turf War - imagine that xD

One nice thing unrelated to that though is lagiacrus got two new plushes recently (LOOK AT THAT https://otakumode.com/shop/5b63f796.....sh-Renewal-Ver ) and next week it sounds like he'll be getting a Deviant(?) form in the mobile game MH Explore - which is somethin I thought they'd *never* do for him. I mean he didn't get one in Generations/Ultimate so...

That could just be coincidence, but there's a few folks that think this means Capcom's planning something. A lot of lagiactus love in a relatively short period of time, purely out of nowhere? I'd like to think they're planning something, but again - who can say.

ye ;u; once i get off work im exhausted and i read comments but then i either forget to reply or fall asleep ;u; and gosh its super possible i mean, have you seen the full monster hunter world map? its on the wall in the second chambers room you get, THERES ALOT LEFT OF THAT ISLAND THAT ISNT IN THE GAME AT ALL LIKE, they gotta have something planned, they wouldn't lead a full map just where we could see it! there was also talk about a possible snow map

But yeah, I meant more like planned for lagiacrus in particular. The talk of an island came not long after the last round of backlash Capcom got for the removal (Along with talk 'someone' on the MHW team was removed from the project), and assuming it's *true* then that might be a pretty good chance that they're changing their mind on the whole "We cut him mid-development and he a'int ever coming back" remark that was made. By one person on the team granted, and that decision can always be overruled, but even still.

Yeah especially since all the plushes they've been doing up until now have been ones of World monsters. Even this latest batch, it was released/announced alongside a load of MHW mons (Xeno'Jiiva got a mochi-plush! Still waiting on that full plush myself~). Tigrex and Nargacuga also got two 'revamped' plushes, as did Zinogre (Which actually looks like a zinno now). All three of 'em shoudl be on that site I linked to.
Also, actually on topic here but um... .Tobi-Kadachi got a plush a while ago as well :> Don't have a link I'm afraid but a search shoudl pick it up quick - maybe PlayAsia, if it's not on the site I linked to ^^


Two actually, but one of them is being shut down permanently next month. The first was a side-game to Monster Hunter Stories, called "Monstie Drop" which has THE MOST ADORABLE ICONS EVER, and was basically a Match-3 sort of game. It had some monsters that were tameable only in the mobile version but not the 3DS version, like Raizex/Astalos, Mizutsune, Agnaktor, Glacial Agnaktor, and Valstrax. Dinovaldo/Glavenus was present in the 3DS version, and Agnaktor/Glacial were as well, but the latter two weren't tameable - not even in the (JP only currently) 1.2 and 1.3 patches.

The other one is called "Explore" and it was planned for a localization back in.... 2016 I think? But apparently tests did very, very poorly and so Capcom scrapped the localization. It's currently JP-exclusive, but the MH community was pretty small back then and one of the more common complaints about it was "It's too simple". With World having eased up on some things in the game (Like not needing Bomb Casings just to make Dung Pods and Tranq Bombs) as well as massively increasing the size of the western fanbase... Who knows. Maybe they'll take another stab at it. Always possible but aaaa...

I'm hoping this new lagi (Landconquest Lagiacrus nnnngh, and that color scheme <3) sparks some more lagi-talk. The more the better, since that means they're more likely to give in and add him back to the game. New-lagi's apparently Black and Red colored judging by the teaser pic they gave

Man legi is getting all these good color schemes omg, that kinda reminds me about monster hunter stories (I believe that was its name) like I'm so sad they didnt do anything for it over here other then release the game, LIKE THERES BEAUTIFUL AMIBO FIGURES OVER IN JAPAN FOR THE GAME and I didnt figure that out untill I went to Nintendo New York

I wish there was more attention to monsterhunter in the states, like I know monster hunter world did amazing but like plz I need more
