The Arcana number 1 is the magician Arcana. The Magician is supposed to impersonate willpower, and the two hands looking at opposite directions show the philosophy of magic used by Tarot, as above, so below. The Magician has limitless willpower, and is able to do anything withing his grasp, and of course has wisdom in him, knowing how to use the powers he has.
