Part one of a hopefully interesting project inspired by
Lig's ship design.
For those that don't know: the Star Trek universe is pretty detailed when it comes to administration as dull as that sounds, but it does mean that individual ships and classes there of have "development patches" like these:

Obviously: being a fictional universe there aren't really hard and fast rules for these... personally: always preferred the idea that the class development patches were triangular while the individual ship ones were round but that's just me.
Hopefully you like it Lig; sort of pulled the Romulan Republic logo there out of my arse given well: the inspiration for this one being the Normandy (a co-developed ship), and needed something to make that third look less empty... but it did also fit given the shape that came out once I'd done the silhouette.
Also damn you Lig: your sketch wasn't symetrical! *OCD twitch*

Hey! This is not a ship of leisurely crinkles! Well Okay not just. XD The idea behind it was something small that packed a punch and could gather recon unnoticed or deploy people on the ground without detection. ^^ I plan to have one captained by a Klingon Human hybrid character I haven't done anything with in a while. And well there may be crinkles as everyone needs a way to relax between high stakes missions. XD
Oh this is awesome!! I love it! Hehe and I could totally see this something being developed further with help from the Romulan Republic. ^^ After all they'd have ready access to some pretty good cloaks. And Yeah the general shape it invocative of Romulan designs. ^^ And Yeah I know it wasn't symmetrical. Part of why I don't often do ships. I suck at symmetry unless I do it in GIMP or something and just mirror it. ^^ Also love the location for it's construction. If anybody in the Federation has a handle on how to build tough, scrappy shits it's the Andorians.
Hehe: Glad to hear that fits.
Yeah: symetry is tricky, usually I develop a rough shape then only produce one axis of it to mirror before adding in the finer details.
As for the location: yeah, the big two are usually San Francisco Fleet Yards (Mid sized things like the Connie, Excelsior and so forth) and Utopia Planitia (The really big and high tech stuff like the Galaxy, Intrepid and Sovereign), most of the others on the memory alpha list are just footnotes, so I figured I'd add this one as well: it makes sense and made for a good background image.
