Leon spent many years bouncing from fling to fling, never really committing after he'd been betrayed early in his adult life. He found it hard to trust, harder to fall in love. It wasn't until he went on a mission to another dimension that he encountered a woman as strong-willed and lively as himself. He fell in love with the beautiful Aries Passadar, a legendary mercenary of worldwide renown and a deposed noble who had lost her family in a blaze. Both were marked by Hell, both made it their life's work to protect the innocent from the evils of the world at all costs.
Over the year he spent on the strange new planet called Spira, they grew extremely close, were engaged to be married and had started a family together. But Leon wasn't ready to start his new life in another world without showing her his home...
"I know my Earth might seem pretty low-tech compared to the one you know, but I hope you enjoyed the tour," the orange fox smiled softly.
"Don't be ridiculous, love, I've never seen such a beautiful beach..." Aries entered his apartment, looking around. "So, this is where you live?"
"I wouldn't say 'live' so much... I spend so much time on the road, flying all over... but when I have some time off and I'm not showing anyone around, this is where I sleep, yeah." Leon nods. The apartment wasn't much to write home about, just an average 2-bedroom, 1 bath flat. As the blue wolfess wandered around the living room, his lenses flicked out a moment, and through neural commands, he turned the sound system on to begin playing a smooth ballad.
Aries' ears perked up suddenly as she heard the music come on, her tail twitching. A rosy tint began to color her cheeks. "Leon...?"
He answered by coming up behind her, his arms slipping around her middle as he nuzzled into her neck. "I'm really happy I met you, you know... I don't know what's gonna happen in the years that come. Honestly, I see some pretty bad things down the line... but I'm not afraid of them. I've got you to pick me up when I'm down..."
Aries smiled and turned in his arms, holding onto them as her stormy gray hues looked up into his blazing, golden eyes. "No force in the universe is strong enough to change how I feel about you, or keep us apart for long... that's how strongly my love burns for you."
Leon began to dance, his lenses retracting as he dances with her a while, dipping her towards the end of the song...
"I love you, Aries..." He whispers, his chest swelling with emotion.
"And I love you, Leon..." She whispers back, unable to tear her gaze from his.
