I should've done something like this earlier, but here is a pic of my 3d wolf avatar in Second Life... sculpted in Blender, textured in the GIMP, and animated in Blender painstakingly over months... and scripted to be fully interactive with facial expressions, ear and tail positions, gesture actions like Howl Bite Growl Play Roll Dig etc. and full color customizability for creative people to play with.
