Actually I think this is the first ever pic where the Vanguard engineer Attacks-First has ever been drawn... Considering the part he plays in my story The Cold Wind that's a bit of an oversight. Whoops.
Anyway, Attacks-First becoming wasted on the disgusting fungus-extract that has a similar effect on Vanguard that booze has on humans. Tainui isn't in much of a better state from knocking back the drain-cleaner moonshine he made himself.
The wonderful artist behind this little masterpiece is
charha - she is absolutely amazing and I am so fortunate in being able to get her to do a commission for me. This came out better than I could have hoped, so thank you so very much, Charha. I am so stoked with this one!

I think Charha often puts little characters like that into some of the art she creates, I've seen something very similar looking from her before as well. That's okay, it adds an extra cute, comic element to this.

Vanguard don't have nipples. No evolutionary need for them, so nothing to hang little bits of jewellery from They're like sharks in that they give birth to live young capable of consuming solid food from the get-go. This is also why the females look practically identical to the males.
There were a couple of little things that I didn't bother correcting when she showed me the concept sketches for this... the arms are more stacked vertically in this than what I intended, they have a slightly lighter colouration on the front/underside of their bodies, and the tails are smooth, not segmented. But for all that, I don't really care - this is an epic little piece of art the way it is, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm just so chuffed to be able to get some artwork from her... she's an amazing artist.

Man this is one the the best commissions that you have gotten to date I think. The art style that charha has is awesome, it just seems to blend in so well for this scene. Love the look of the Vanguard in the back on the left, winking with the thumbs up and that "yea man, go for it" look.
I always did have a soft spot for Attacks-First, poor guy I always felt so sorry for him.

Yeah, think I might definitely have to get some more art of him. He did get things pretty rough, all things considered and that's potentially something I might fix one day, maybe.
As for the pic - getting a lot of good comments and favorites from it, this is true - must be really hitting a chord with people! Not surprised though, because Charha is a pretty epic artist.

Intoxicated ideas may seem natural and fun under the influence of said "toxic", but later when the mind clears again, then the ideas doesn't seem so good after all. Well, it depends for who, the one who gave or the one who received. :p
I'll bet that there's been some humans who have gotten themself up in quite a situation when they thought they could bit off more than they could chew. Oh, how would the world be without intoxicated ideas?
One of the Vanguard's in the background looks a bit worried. And the other one looks jealous. Are humans any popular amongst the Vanguards? In a desirable way that is. Or is it mostly humans who fantasize about the big hunks?

Everything is better/brighter/faster/sexier/a good idea when you're intoxicated. Be it on alcohol or alien fungus derivative gel Drugs make the world go around... I bet we would be much worse off it certain historical figures had never partaken of anything illicit.

Attacks-First has the hots for Tainui something wicked, Tainui has no idea, and more than a few of the other Vanguard are just curious what human flesh tastes like.

Attacks-First has the hots for Tainui something wicked, Tainui has no idea, and more than a few of the other Vanguard are just curious what human flesh tastes like.
There have also been many neat quotes involving alcohol by famous persons through history. I think it was Galileo Galilei that said "wine is light, held together by liquid". Churchill and Margaret Tatcher were both fans of bourbon and whiskey, and they got their jobs done.

But then again, some of them may not admire you for your personality and charm, but rather flesh and organs. :p

humanXfurry is a combo I'll never get tired off. It adds a little realism to the desired subject. It's like you can recognise some of you in the work. Interspecies relationships must be very exotic and intriguing, like discovering new countries every day. :D
Have you seen Farscape? An alien named Pilot there picks on the main character (something is making everyone on the ship argue) and tells him that he can't understand how humans can have evolved like him, because humans can't smell danger, they can't defend themself without weapons, they are like sitting ducks. It's a really great episode. I love Farscape.

Hmm, you have nailed it on the head about the human on anthro stuff. Easier to fantasize about being part of it in some way perhaps. Some of my favorite conventional porn is interracial stuff, so yeah - the interspecies stuff is something that I find quite a turn-on.

This truly is an awesome rendering... I love this artist's style! All two... wait... five... no, six facial expressions are readily within the realm of awesomeness! Love those three guys in the background, with their respective expressions of approval, curiousness and... either contempt or jealousy. Probably envious he didn't think of getting the humans all liquored up first. :P

The expressions Charha came up with on this are just so fucking cool... just dig that "What-EVER!" expression on the one at the back... too funny. Was so pleased with this, she did a freakin' incredible job of it. The lil' green guy is just a hoot. Absolutely nothing to do with the story or the scene, Charha just threw it in there for shits'n'giggles - I love it.

I know... I've read through bits and pieces of your Cold Wind stories, and I know this whole things ends up quite tragically.
Still, it's a damn nice thing to have a moment of levity and amicable fun captured in such good form and offer something to the legacy of these two that isn't overwrought with misfortune and sadness. When we're gone, we're gonna want people to remember the good times. :)
