Southern Grey Treefrogs are common to the eastern and southern areas of the United States. They are a large frog and can change their color to blend into objects. Their most common color is a patched grey and black, where they virtually disappear on trees. When they are startled, however, they will jump and flash the orange markings on their inner thighs. These flash markings serve to stun predators and give them a chance to escape.
This is a one-of-a-kind, handmade sculpture. It's made of a gourd, wire, and epoxy clay, with original glass eyes. It measures 2.5 inches high and 6 inches long. This sculpture can also hang on a wall with the wire loop on its belly.
