I probably watched blue clues for a long time and I just found out last year that blue is a girl..

How did you go that long not knowing she's female when literally every time she's referred to in the show, they use female pronouns? Even in the intro. :V

I'm in the same boat here. I assumed it was always he when they said it. Yet now I look back and...she. Also, now I'm confused on genders all together for magenta. I'm seeing art of female yet...I am still confused.

All three dogs are female, and are very clearly and blatantly referred to as such throughout the show.

I am surprised...just as I am surprised that I found out that there was another...which was today...
...clearly I missed a lot in blue's clues.

Nope. All of the dogs, Blue, Green, and Magenta are girls.

Why does everyone think this?

They probably thought it was the obvious subversion, the girl was blue and the boy was Pink, I never knew every puppy on the show was female.

But...Magenta was referred to as a female just as blatantly as Blue.

Well in my case, I only had vague memories of the show, and you know how our brains like to fill in the blanks regarding that topic.

I loved this show until Steve left... it just wasn't the same without him. :( The guy who replaced him didn't have that same charm...

I always thought Blue was male, because at the time my mindset was Blue was for Boys and Pink was for Girls... regardless doesn't change anything how I loved the show, even up to like 2nd or 3rd grade XD. The odd looks I get from my peers whenever I expressed great interest in the show... meanwhile they were getting into adult humor somehow (and this was late 90's early 2000's mind you) and many interests I didn't grasp or found boring...

OMG!! Blue and Magenta were my first ship ever, I remember wanting them to be together always in the show. And I got really mad when they started making me question their gender, preschooler me ( and also almost middle school me) just wanted them to be together :3
