Furry Weekend Atlanta's theme this year is "Galactic Gunslingers," which I am ALL ABOUT :D In light of that, over the past year I've been working on a series of characters and another story idea directly inspired by that theme, and with the convention going on this weekend, now is a good time to introduce them.
The previous entry was Doc Briar. This is his partner, Thistle Avery. Like Briar, she is one of only three known individuals out of a civilization of thousands possessing highly advanced cybernetic implants and prosthetics, called Epsilons. She's a bit more gung-ho than her partner, and thanks to her implants is capable of expertly wielding two specialized revolvers with zero loss of efficiency or accuracy. Though the origins of the Epsilons remains a mystery, one intriguing fact about them is that, somehow, they are tied to the lost artifacts left behind in the forgotten star system this civilization colonized, despite the fact that no one had set foot there for millennia. It's one of the mysteries Briar is set to solve, and Thistle is here to ensure his curiosity doesn't throw them into trouble with the multitudes of miscreants present in the crumbling civilization (rogue corporate militias, interplanetary outlaws, corrupt politicians, and the occasional nutjob that spent a little too long exposed to the radiation of space).

Punch blades are actually hard to use in warfare, you can't bend your wrist or turn it to change the direction of your thrust or slash. You know of course now I'll have to change my method once again to add the accused cell shading technique instead of bothering to use detail at all!
Well done though.
