Eh, the mixing properties are going to take some getting used to, but I'm enjoying the challenge thus far. It seems to lend itself to cell-style shading more than the transparent watercolors I normally use. The art schooling I had includes gouache as a medium in the curriculum *now*, but didn't while I was a student, so I'm having to learn on my own. I don't expect to master it overnight by any means.
