My absolute most short lived army for 40k. 5 knights. Painted like pre heresy Iron Warriors. Played with it a handful times. Just like playing with huge space markers. Incredible fun to build and paint. But horrible to play with. And incredible expensive. 100$ each. Haha. Don’t have it anymore.
Took at least 3-4 hours each to build. Only one was actually finished.

If you say so, I'm managing just fine since all it needs now is food as I can do the rest [other than hospital bills but it has never been injured or sick]. So it's cheap to me, so....technically.....

A hobby is what you make it.
You can go golfing by hitting rocks with a stick for free. Or you can pay for a custom kit of clubs. Membership at a country club and buy a custom golfcart.
You can buy used models or get painted ones for free if you're lucky. Or you can invest in something you like. :)
100bucks might be a fun venture for someone that enjoys it. Impossible for others.
