Confuzzled for solo piano!
This was my first assignment of semester 2, 2009...and I think it went great! There was a long explanation of what to do, but to cut it short, you had to copy Olivier Messiaen's style...so here's my version!
It basically runs through Messiaen's modes of limited transposition. In order, it goes Mode 1, 2, 3, 1, 3, 2, 1...Mode 1 being the whole tone scale, mode 2 being the octatonic scale and mode 3 being tone, semitone, semitone and so on in that fashion...bear in mind that sometimes, the modes run into each other!!!
Anyway, enjoy...or at least, try to!
