Wow! really awesome job on this one! Experimentation is amazing, no? Staying in one's comfort zone all the time is so boring.
I must also say how much I admire the way you rendered the fur - it looks very soft, especially in the detail shot . It really is quite lovely all around :]

Definitely - it's so easy to just keep on drawing what you're familiar with, but that just leads to stagnation, so this was particularly refreshing!
The fur was a result of lots of trial and error, frustration and worn-thin patience, but I'm glad to see it was worth the effort :D
