Lars of the Stars cape

As I’ve said before, I grew up a big fan of 70’s & 80’s space anime. So when the Steven Universe episode “Lars of the Stars” came out I IMMEDIATELY loved Lars’ cape that was very much drawing from those same old shows with the big collar and everything.
I don’t intend to do a full Lars of the Stars cosplay, but I was inspired to try to make this. There were quite a few things that it was the first or second time trying to do and was fun to try them out. It was a great learning experience that I may try to apply in a future project.
In the mean time, look out for the cape’s debut at BLFC. It’s going to double as my Phantom of the Opera style cape to go with the “BLFC the Musical” theme this year. I kind of had to go that route considering I’m always wearing a steampunk Phantom of the Opera mask.Cape made by me.
