Well! Sometimes art projects don't go quite as expected. I figured it was time to make a proper reference sheet, and went at the idea with gusto. To help facilitate the large amount of space I figured I'd require, I carefully attached two 8 x 11 pieces of card-stock together to make something roughly A3 sized. It could thus fold in the middle, and be scanned on my normal flat-deck scanner.
I started doodling, and an hour later all I really had to show for it was this head shot sprawled out across the mid-point of the two joined papers. I tried adding a huge flabby body to the thing to at least make a completed image, but that wasn't working out at all. >.< So! Rather than toss the whole thing in the bin, I at least salvaged the head shot.
Its a style I've never attempted for myself before, namely some kinda halfway point between toony and "real", for lack of a better term. I think it came out alright, despite all the digital editing I needed to do to free it from horrible sketch-failure status.
Ah well, it gave me an excuse to practice digital inking, and some more manual shading. I'm going to put it in scraps here. No idea if I'll actually use it as a user icon or anything. ^^() I'm just trying not to feel all "meh" over the artwork failure.

Crazy FA. I was going to ask what program you used to color this, as it looked like it was covered in jpg artifacts, but then I clicked it once to get the full picture, and all the artifacts disappeared. Seems they're only showing for me in the zoomed-out view.
I dunno what to say about character sheets, except that I'm too cheap to buy one, and my SL NightFurson avatar is so exact to my char it can be used as a ref. Now that I mention it, I still have to form an online set of refs myself >_>
But GODSPEED, Danger-Lad! Keep at it and nice work!
