The Days Go On - Page 11 - STORY IN DESCRIPTION
I finally sat down and finished this. Had most of this written since before the last one even went up. Anyways, hope you enjoy! Like always, sorry for any typos or whatever.
Warning: Story contains kiss stuff.
Incinerate didn’t know what to do. The guy he liked just pressed his lips against his. They were still there. His whole body was shaking, and it burned up. He felt his heart beating through his chest, like it could just burst through at any moment. He didn’t even know how to accept Tokage’s kiss. Wait, Tokage kissed him!?
After an eternity of 15 seconds, Tokage’s eyes shot open as he realized what he had just done and was still doing. He pulled away and scooted back on the floor a bit, terrified.
“H-h-holy shit! I-I’m sorry I didn’t mean to...I mean I...god dammit I don’t even know.” He held his head as he gave himself a headache.
Incinerate just looked at him, watching him tremble. He was still stuck in disbelief about what had just happened. He breathed heavily, his face as deep of a red as they could possibly be. His whole body felt tingly. He finally snapped out of it enough to speak.
“U-uh…” although not much.
“I-I’m sorry, alright. Uh...I should...I should go.” Tokage stood up to leave.
“Wait!” Incinerate ended up yelling out to him. Tokage looked back, looking like he was ready to break down. Incinerate saw how horrified he was. Quieter, he said, “Tokage...are you…?” He was afraid to say ‘gay.’
Tokage looked down for a moment and sighed, knowing he wasn’t getting out of this. He hung his head in shame and nodded. “Mhm.”
Incinerate just stared, completely in shock. He never expected Tokage of all people to be gay. He needed a way for Tokage to feel comfortable. He was still terrified of admitting he was too, even though Tokage just came out to him. Tokage sat back down, still with his head lowered. He didn’t dare make eye contact with Incinerate.
Incinerate scooted over next to the green reptile. He didn’t know what to do. He just did what his instinct told him to do to comfort his crush and placed his hand lightly on top of his. This got Tokage to look up, and he turned his head to the Charmeleon. Incinerate was scared out of his mind, but he eventually got the courage to say “I am too.”
Tokage was in complete shock. “W-wait. No you’re not…” He said.
Incinerate nodded. “Yeah. I am. I...can’t believe you are.” He chuckled a little bit. He felt a lot better now that he just said it, and that Tokage was also gay.
“But you’re such a...guy.” Tokage said.
“Well, so are you.”
“I mean...sure, but…”
“So do you...like me?” Incinerate asked, wondering if that was even an okay thing to ask. Tokage didn’t say anything. He just shut his eyes and nodded. His face was extremely red like Incinerate’s.
“Do you...like me too?” Tokage asked, his voice a bit shaky. Incinerate looked into his eyes and leaned in, giving the Grovyle another kiss, this time a softer, but more passionate one. It lasted about 10 seconds before he softly pulled away, both of them opening their eyes to look at each other.
“So all this time...we were arguing and stuff...and we both just liked each other?” Tokage asked.
“Yeah...It’s so surreal...like a poorly written fanfic.” Incinerate chuckled. The two smiled at each other and noticed their hands were still touching. They both leaned in and kissed some more, happier than ever. Tokage put his free hand on Incinerate’s shoulder, to which Incinerate mimicked with his hand. After a bit, they broke the kiss, a string of saliva connecting from each of their lips. The two just looked at each other smiling again. They were so happy to finally be with each other. They hugged tight, still with a big smile on each of their faces. They pulled away, still holding each other’s arms and looked into each other’s eyes. Incinerate got lost in Tokage’s shining, silver eyes as Tokage got lost in Incinerate’s golden yellow ones.
Incinerate then realized, “Wait...so are we like, a couple now?”
“I guess so.”
Incinerate thought for a moment. “...What if people find out? People at our school aren’t exactly known for being accepting of this.”
“Well, I mean, we’ve gone this far without coming out. At least I have, I dunno about you.” Tokage said.
“Well...my dad knows...but that’s it…” Incinerate told him.
“I was thinking of telling my parents...I just don’t know how they’d react.”
“You don’t have to. I’m not telling Blaze or my uncles or anyone.” Incinerate said as he rubbed Tokage’s arm lightly.
“I guess I’ll see how it goes. Would be nice if they knew so we could hang out at my house any time.” Tokage thought.
“Yeah...but don’t if you don’t want to.” Incinerate said. Tokage looked at him with a smile.
“Heh...Hey what time is it?” He asked. Incinerate reached for his phone and looked at the time on it.
“Oh, wow, it’s already almost 6. Froaker’s probably home, at least.” Incinerate said as he tossed his phone up onto his bed.
“I should probably get home. Told my dad I’d go out to eat with him tonight.” Tokage said. He rubbed Incinerate’s arms a little, tempted to squeeze the Charmeleon’s rather impressive biceps.
“Okay...wanna work more tomorrow?” Incinerate asked.
“Yes” Tokage responded almost immediately. The two smiled again and kissed a few more times before Tokage got up to leave. Incinerate helped him get his things and walked him to the door. Incinerate looked around to see if Froaker was there. He was in the kitchen at the moment, so he gave Tokage a quick kiss before he left. They waved to each other as he walked away and then Incinerate closed the front door. He leaned his back against it, all of a sudden a little dizzy from everything that had just happened. He wasn’t expecting anything like that to happen today.
Froaker walked out from the kitchen and sat at the table with a mug of coffee. “Hey Incinerate. How was school?” He asked as he took a small sip, careful to not burn himself.
“Oh, it was fine...yep all good.” He stood there with his hands behind his back. He didn’t look over at Froaker, he just watched Makalu chew on a toy.
“You okay? How come he was here?” Froaker asked.
“We got assigned to work on a school project together.” Incinerate told him. He finally went and sat down with his father. “................Nobody else is here?”
“No. Just me”
“Um...well...you were right.” Incinerate said.
“Right about what?”
“...him...y’know...not to count him out?”
“Oh. Wait, really?!” Froaker smiled big
“Uh-huh.”
“Well, that’s great! How did it happen? Wait, you didn’t...you know…?” Froaker asked.
“Wha- no, no, not that! We kissed. Well, he kissed me. And then we kissed. Alright, hold on. So we were working on the project, and eventually we were just talking and stuff, and then out of nowhere he just kissed me.”
“Wow...So how do you feel?” Froaker asked, rubbing his son’s back.
“I dunno. Kinda like I’m gonna throw up.” Incinerate said.
“Ah, I remember gettin’ that feeling. First time I kissed a guy. I was nervous as hell.” Froaker laughed.
“Uh-huh. Was yours out of nowhere?” Incinerate asked.
“No. But...I’m not gonna get into the details of it.” Froaker said and chuckled a little. “So anyway, what are you guys gonna do about this? Are you just gonna come out?”
“Oh, god, no. No way.” Incinerate said.
“That’s gonna be tough.” Froaker said, scratching his face
“Yeah, but if anyone at school found out it’d be a nightmare. Trust me.”
“Well, good luck with that.” Froaker said. He took a sip of his coffee.
“Thanks.” Incinerate sat back in his chair and sighed.
Incinerate walked through the halls of his school. He had his phone in one hand and a cup of coffee in the other. He was getting more and more used to wearing the eyepatch. He would sometimes feel it to remember if it was actually even there. He glanced up from his phone every few seconds as he walked so he wouldn’t run into anyone. He wasn’t really doing anything on it, just something to avoid eye contact with others.
He walked into his first class of the day and sat in his seat. Math. He hated it more than any other class, and of course it was first. Although he hated it, he wasn’t bad at it. It came pretty easily to him, so he didn’t bother paying much attention in class. A few minutes later, the bell rang and his teacher walked in. He was a Claydol, and he wasn’t the nicest to most people. Incinerate had always seen him as a crabby, old man that should’ve probably retired ten years ago. He certainly seemed old enough to.
Everyone put their phones away and took out their notebooks when he came in. Incinerate did the same, although he didn’t really intend on taking notes. Especially since all he could think about was how he would handle seeing Tokage in History and at lunch later.
Class went by as usual: boring with lots of note taking, at least by everyone else. Incinerate just took the time to relax and prepare for the rest of the day. After what seemed like forever, the bell rang. Everyone gathered up their stuff and headed out, on to their next class.
Soon enough, it was time for Incinerate to go to History. He took a deep breath before walking into the classroom. Sure enough, Tokage was there talking to Cefrio, like always. Tokage did happen to look over at Incinerate slightly, smiled, but then snapped out of it and returned to his conversation with the Lucario. Incinerate sat in his seat next to Blaze.
“Hey.” Blaze said to his brother.
“Hi.” Incinerate said, trying to not look over at his new boyfriend. It was strange. Just yesterday he was trying not to look over at his crush. He still was having a hard time believing it.
“You good?” Blaze asked. Incinerate snapped out of it and looked back to him.
“Yeah! Yeah, I’m good. I’m just tired. Kinda just dozed off a little, heh.” He tried to deter and speculation from Blaze.
“Even with that coffee? Damn. You might need to start getting two.” Blaze laughed. Incinerate laughed along with him. That actually didn’t sound like a bad idea. He’s pretty mucha coffee addict.
Incinerate spend the majority of the class taking very short glances at Tokage from across the room. He kept it as sly as possible, only looking when everyone was writing notes. A few times the two made eye contact and would smile. The class went by pretty fast because of this. The bell rang, and Incinerate stood up with his backpack. Blaze and Incinerate both walked out the door, with Tokage and Cefiro a few people behind them.
At lunch, Incinerate sat with Blaze and the rest of his group of friends. Tokage still sat at the table behind them, but it was a lot less awkward this time. Somehow it felt easier to hide this relationship than hide his totally concealed feelings from Tokage. At least for now.
