This is one of my least favorite things about history.

Even with all our current collective knowledge, there are still so many things that happened that will forever remain unsaid or unwritten. Whether that's due to a lack of articulation or a library fire, the result is the same. All those moments are lost in time...

But even then you have to take into consideration - the things written down are by those who were of a higher class, who had the time, energy and upbringing to treat documenting themselves or their environment as something worthwhile doing. All the common people with incredible stories are all lost to time. Even me, with my loose lifestyle, won't have the time to even mention all of the people I stumbled upon, let enough do them justice.
