One exciting Saturday, Zee-Zee and his mommy went to the big shopping centre in town! There was just one little unfortunate incident while they were there - it was so thrilling and shiny and noisy and crowded, that Zee-Zee didn't notice it was potty time until it was very nearly too late! And even though he told Mommy straight away and tried his very hardest to hold it in while she hurried him all the way to the exciting grown-up bathrooms, his pull-up was completely soaked before they got there.

But after a quick change (Mommy always brings spare pull-ups along, just in case), Zee-Zee felt much better again. And as they came out of the ladies', they bumped into his friend Maggie from daycare, plus her mommy and two of her big brothers, also on their way for a potty break! The mommies said hello to each other, and Zee-Zee quickly announced "I went to the potty!"... which wasn't completely a fib, because he really had gone to the grown-up potty room with Mommy, and he'd even sat on the grown-up potty to see if he still needed to do a little bit more... and added in a whisper "Mommy, don't tell them I had an accident!"

Zee-Zee hadn't quite got the hang of whispering yet. He really believed that if he talked in a whispery kind of voice, Mommy would be the only one who could hear him, and had no idea that there were people fifty yards away who heard the "whisper" and chuckled to themselves at the cute little squirrel. Luckily, though, the two big bunnies weren't paying attention - they were chatting to each other about a song they'd just heard playing on the overhead speakers - and Maggie's mommy knew enough about toddlers to pretend she hadn't heard a thing.

And as for Maggie, she'd hidden herself behind her mommy's skirt like she always did when meeting people like this. She was even more shy and flustered than usual today, because of the unexpected encounter with Zee-Zee, the clever and handsome little squirrel who she secretly liked a LOT! And on top of that, she needed to go to the potty really quite urgently - she bit her lip, blushing bright red, hoping her mommy wouldn't stand and talk for too long, but not really wanting to run away from the squirrels too quickly either!

Maggie's mommy Rachel would have loved to stay and chat with Zena, catching up on all the gossip from the elementary school where they both taught (she was taking a break from teaching there while her youngest ones were still at home, and missed hearing the latest news), but all her years of raising little bunnies had taught her not to dawdle on the way to the bathrooms. She just told Zena they'd be going for lunch at one in the mall's cafeteria (meeting up with the older kids, currently off doing teenage things somewhere in the shopping centre) and suggested they all get together then.

"See you later, Maggie!" Zee-Zee chirped as he toddled happily away. Maggie watched over her shoulder as she followed her mommy into the bathroom, feeling all in a flutter - she was going to have lunch with Zee-Zee! She almost drifted into a happy daydream, but then suddenly remembered something even more important - "Quick, Mommy, quick!" she squeaked. "Potty time!"
