While the Paolumu is adorable, it's also one of my least favorite monsters to encounter, because of the face-slam attack if you let one stay in the air for any length of time. And their quick air-suck on the ground, that can often stumble a hunter, is kinda a butt too.
But I won't argue that yeah, they're cute if they're not your quarry.

If I not slipping on the vitality mantle, deploying a health booster, or knocking down (another) healing potion, I try to, yeah; being a bow user, I seem to approach most flies as, "Yeah, I can still poke it, what does it going in the air matter?" up until the monster uses some annoying move in the air, like Pao's face slam, or Rathalos tail flails.
