Since I lost the space at the factory, I've gone back and bumped into the owner we were renting from, I asked him if they were still ripping down the boiler room, he said "I am not sure when that will be, maybe this fall,... Why do you ask?" I said "Well there are some gauge clusters I was wondering what would happen to" he said "Show me" so I showed him and he said "If you think you can get those off the wall, you can have them, just don't hurt yourself, they are junk old not working to anything anymore" I said "you sure you don't mind?" he replied "Yes but where will you put them?"
My car has never been under such stress.
Each pannel weighed about 100 lbs or more. took me and my cousin to even get them onto a dolly... getting them in the house took 3 people each.
Now he's got a bitchin place to work on steampunk stuff. lol
The fan is from the 40s was marked 1941 lol sweet.

oddly my cousin was "into" it before it had a name, it was basically some anime he loved that he kinda started a liking for, he made weird stuff to wear and so on that was steampunk-esk but not until it was a style did he really dive into hit heavy lol he just thought he was into weird stuff, like collecting vacuum tubes and smashed clocks... It'll pay off now, as we make stuff out of all the junk hes aquired.
Yeah these ones are ok, the filters are all new they were/are in bags, they're a pain in the ASS to get in there, and the only canteen we found for them stripped, so that sucks too. The Army Barracks is a great place to score those damn things, the cheapest i was able to find was in salem mass on main street there, theyre 5 bucks, new in bags.
i can so totally dig it. but it needs one of those dremel based desktop cnc milling machines
and maybe a sterio lithography tank. oxacetalene welding rig too. at least a lathe and shaper.
and the computers would look more at home if transplanted into polished wooden housings.
a heads up display and controller gauntlets would not be out of place either.
definately love the feel.

its getting there, there is a nice dentist drill setup from 1930 that we want, the knobs are crystal door knob looking things on brass with arrow to contact external variable resistor deals. Also I have my brass and black westinghouse fan in there now, and the pc's are being revamped as well as a few more of the same monitor are being built.
