We observe here the gryphon in its most terrifying majesty. A lower status female has entered the territory of a higher status one. Usually this situation leads to threat displays and the weaker individual retreating, but in this case the higher status female misjudged the aggressiveness of the other and threat displays turned to a physical confrontation, carefully observed by the rest of the group.
