Drake bone and porcelain? Good grief the edges on those could cut glass!

The guy who ordered them was a stumpy crime boss merfolk. Guy has lost most of his teeth and still wanted to be menacing, but he got caught. Now Ira has his fearsome choppers since she has his jaw measurements.

Well, if she aqquired them by legal means and they fit? Kudos. Just, I've had a ceramic knife. Porcelain blades are...just eesh. My chef when I was in "Le Courdon Blue" actually used one to cut a wine glass in half. The sound it made. Only me and two others in the class could hear it and IT HURT!

So the fact she's got such lethal chompers...and yet only wears them for social gatherings is kinda crazy

Though, this bears in mind a question...if she doesn't have natural teeth, wouldn't the more complex crunchy foods be tougher on her digestive system? As she didn't naturally evolve to ingest them?

I'll elaborate more on how Ira was engineered later. Such a good question should be answered publicly. Suffice to say, she's a humanoid creature but certain mutations occurred so she has a cartilage endo-skeleton for the most part. About 70% of it. So no bone material for teeth thanks to the slug material. She's omnivorous, so she can eat just about anything a human can so long as it isn't horribly salty. She still has that structure in her digestive track that banana slugs have, a ribbon lining her track with microscopic teeth that rip the food up beyond the esophagus.

As far as the dentures go, the front sharp ones are drake bone. The grinders in the far back and the dog teeth behind the fangs are porcelain. But yeah, nicking her tongue once has made her careful about using them.
