This picture was taken a few days after I got him in 2007.
My rat, King Julian, was put down today. He was really old and had a tumor on his spine which caused him to lose mobility in his hind legs. Joy says he'll be reincarnated as a man eating lion. I wouldn't have it any other way.
He is the rat I have tattooed on my back by the way.
Sam and Joy took him for me today because I have classes all week and he really didn't deserve to suffer until it was convenient for me.

I'm so sorry...=/ I lost my guinea pig Vixen just over a week ago so I entirely sympathize. At least he isn't suffering anymore. I know that's kind of an old line but it sounds like he was suffering a lot if he had a tumor. I think it's really special that you have a tattoo of him. That way you always have him with you. Again, I am really sorry for this loss. He looks like he was very full of personality in that photo.
I still don't see why they would ban domesticated rats. I understand people would possibly let one out but really... it's almost as ridiculous as ferrets being banned in California.

I fully support you getting a couple rats. They're highly social so it's best to get at least 2 but it's so worth it as then it's double the love. XD
They're smart, loving, comical and just awesome little creatures.
That and the looks of random people when you tell them you have rats as pets is never a let down.
