Before we get into the utter tragedy and sadness of Milo's/Haidar's more recent history (because I don't have time to write it all out right now), here's a picture I drew of his childhood self being hugged from behind by a random ferret Katzchian girl that he seems to be crushing on.

In the world of Malvia, the various countries tend to have a majority race typical of the area. Malvia is largely canine (as is most of the world, thus leading to the Common language actually being Canid), Ocean Scar (a Japan proxy) is largely feline, etc. Katzch is majority Mustelid (ferrets, weasels, otters, so on), so this nameless girl would be more of a typical resident of the country than the cats that Milo and his family were.

There's no real backstory or canonical importance to this picture, I had just wanted to draw a cute picture of Milo as a kid outside of his locket, establishing that his childhood and life before he grew up was quite happy. A cute little kitten with his cute first crush on a girl before he gets horribly fucked up by life, hurray!
