When visiting the Museum, I was fortunate enough to stumble upon the "Dig Lab" as they called it. This photo was taken behind the scenes. They had this MASSIVE tricera-skull still set in stone and dirt in the back. A very kind woman, whom was working on a rex femur opened the large window and allowed me to lean into the off-limits, staff only room to snap a photo of the skull. I thought I'd share this with you guys, as not many people get to see this stage of excavation with fossils. ^^
I have video taken while the woman answered our questions...and she even let us touch the rex femur she was working on! :swoon: I was so excited, I was shaking. @_@ Btw, if anyone is wondering, this skull was found in Montana. It takes about two full years from digging up to assembly to get it ready for display. That's just the skull. Not the rest of the dino @_@
