Here we have my Ginga character Wing, and his sister Mina, as old dogs. As you can see, Wing has put on some weight in his elder years. I imagine at some point, Wing and his mate Dorothy retire from Ohu to live with Dorothy' old owners. There Wing is introduced to home cooking and gradually gains weight. By the time Wing and Dorothy return to Ohu, Wing is enormous. Being the glutton he is it makes sense.
