Lol it was just a random BG that fell out of me. I was done coloring the tube and didn't want to leave it on a blank color, so I just zoned out and painted whatever felt right. Basically it's a bio-engineered creature that can "acquire" the DNA of other things and then itself produce offspring with any mix of acquired/its' own genes and either gender. Once the offspring becomes conscious it can telepathically link with the Tube in a way that the Tube can basically live through the offspring's experiences, pretty much like an avatar.

If a telepathic link can't be connected then at some point the Tube can just EAT the offspring and acquire its' memories and lived experience. :]

Considering this I guess it could be considered female? It doesn't have a wang to jam into things, but it can produce and live as an offspring that does. It can produce offspring using both male and female DNA though, so...?
