Animation commission for Rainbows at Furry Migration!
Hey guys, I'm proud to present a piece of art I've been working long and hard on - a full animation of Rainbow's pony character Dripdrop transforming into her alternate pegasus form named Skittles! This is the longest animation I've made to date, with a total of 25 seconds and 162 frames altogether. When taking on this project I assumed the goo part would be less time consuming to draw than the full turn-around, but boy was I wrong! It turns out dripping and animating color takes some good ol' fashioned sweat, blood, and tears to do correctly XD
Special thanks to Rainbows who was incredibly patient throughout the whole process! And everyone else who I shared progress with and gave feedback. Animating is one of my favorite things to do and I get commissioned for it so infrequently that it's always a treat when one comes along. :3
