I think about 6-7 ounces of ethanol would do the trick though.

Three and a half shots? Not likely.

I was talking about everclear/golden grain so I thought that'd be the equivalent of seven shots actually since one drink/shot=one ounce of pure ethanol (sometimes when it comes to drinking I like to get right to the point). Still, even seven shots would be a bit low; better make it 10 1/2 .

I know of a certain miner who is currently blushing heavily, and who won't likely be able to stammer out a complete sentence for a long while ^.^

Well, our miner friend (gah, I forgot his name :/ ), would likely come up with a good solution- he could be the go-between for supplies. He himself has a mine for ghost rock, and it's likely that he could go and order or retrieve supplies withouth drawing unwanted attention to the good doctor. ^.^
