Built by an independent corporation, the AeroStar Industries CS-99 Merlin is a dream to fly and a nightmare to fight against. Although it is fantastically expensive and therefore limited to those who can afford such a craft, the Merlin boasts superior maneuverability and acceleration. An all digital cockpit, recessed weapons and maneuvering thrusters, and exceptionally tough armor enable it to take more punishment than other ships in it's class. Most pilots don't really care about all that though. They're usually too busy gawking at the ultra streamlined shape.

This drawing is based off of the ship by the same name from the game Frontier: First Encounters in the Elite series. old game, but this is one of the fighters that has stuck in my head since then.
