He couldn't resist exploring the island. Even though the other tourists had stayed on the beach. With their BBQ and cocktails, they didn't even care where they were. It was just another beach to them.
But to him, the network of tidal caves was just too beautiful to simply look at them from a distance. He wandered the caverns, pausing to gaze into every pool swarming with brilliantly coloured life. Eventually, he found a small cave where the water glowed, roiling and sparkling with luminescent algae. It was like something out of his dreams. Once again, he couldn't resist. Slipping off his shoes, he dangled his feet in the water. It was warm, so warm. And it tingled - a soft frisson that shivered comfortably up his legs.
At the last moment, as he let go of the side to slide in, he spotted the carvings along the edge of the pool - ancient drawings, that marked this pool as belonging to someone - someones - else.
But, by then, it was too late, as the warm water sparkled and - instead of sinking in, he rose upwards.
Back to uploading again :) This is the first of a couple of detailed sequences that have kept me busy this past fortnight.
Transformation for the wonderful
kairotheleopard, who I cannot thank enough for his patience whilst I was ill. This was amazing fun to do.
