It definitely did make me upset that some people voted her book down just because of her father. She really did not put anythin.g controversial in it and she seems to be a nice person at least. I bought both books because of her Tweet.

I shall put out hope that we shall get everyone eventually to see and accept that the world is always better for a bit more love, hopefully even Mike Pence.

But his children are exposed to a whole new world now, so there is hope for them. She wrote a nice book and mrs pence's illustrations are wonderfull, even oliver said the book was great. Im just glad of three things:

Age and exposure might prove mellowing. And see it this way: it is an improvement over Bush from what I can tell.

I admit, I kinda hope that we still will see the day when a strictly religious person will only criticize your sexuality in such a way as to ask you why you do not settle down and marry a nice man and maybe adopt children (assuming you are a gay man of course).
I think we could all live with being in the same boat as our heterosexual brethren when it comes to that, or?

I definitely want to hope that we will get there eventually.

I think by the time we get to that , having children might be an overburden for the planet ;-;

I was speaking to a coworker yesterday about how the situation had me stuck in the middle. Having not read either children's book, I'll assume they don't read like Watership Down. Both are about a rabbit's story and not written by VP Mike Pence, but by his daughter. I don't like VP Mike Pence, but find it upsetting that they blame the daughter for his dysfunction. If it is a terrible book, fine, but to see the reviews of hate for something they didn't even read is just wrong. The hate filled comments are hypocritical at best, and only serve to show the hate they, themselves, are complaining about. When I saw the video of her taking the high ground, I was impressed. Politics of today make me wonder how sincere the comment was and time will tell. For now, just enjoy two books about bunnies.

I would say this move is less about politics and more about a man who thinks jesus tells him to round up the gays

Seriously, who cares what he says if he doesn't have any control, much less assert control over what we do in our bedrooms? All I care about is that he helps Donald Trump run this country properly. We should find ways to bring this country together again as Americans and not social labels. Just because he disagrees with the lifestyle, doesn't mean he has total control of those who engages in it. Don't we have free will to do as we please? Who says we had to listen and take to heart of the minority of who DON'T agree?

It is important to remember that at this point any efforts against trump are not out of social labeling but rather corruption and attitude.

Trump appears to be on the course towards impeachment due to some sketchy campaign financing - this is undeniable at this point as several GOP senators have stated.

I mean I even heard Shirley Phelps Roper from the Westboro Baptist Church in an ABC interview say that, they themselves aren't the government, they don't have the right, nor the authority to murder anyone. Yet there are more people being mad at them, protesting them, setting fire to their home, shooting at them, just outright harassing them, than the people who actually KILL in the name of their religion. Westboro just preaches an unpopular message. That's all they do. Just preach. And for some incomprehensible reason, the masses STILL chooses to listen to Westboro and witch hunt them, despite having the free will to ignore them.

I would have very little positive or negative effect on the USA through my commentary since I'm very Canadian - haha so dont worry man I'm not going to make things worse by ranting :P

. But that is also part of the issue here in understanding how I may see things. We have a very noticeable difference in opinion about freedom and rights - generally speaking - in Canada, so overall our two country's frameworks set up slightly diverging reactions to certain events. Personally, I feel if we're going to have representation at a government level - it best be representative and the feeling I get from the president is one more anchored in a negative opinion of people unlike him. Don't get me wrong, his opponent in my opinion - though likely easier on the ears - would of been a continuation of what I'm certain is a deep state, not to say though that such a deep state would be "liberal" or " conservative" but rather something entirely motivated against allowing common people a full truth regardless of politics.

I think America has been great economically, socially and industrially many times over, but often not all at the same time. I'd be disappointed to see a trade of morality for industry on behalf of the american people - who are often christian - and yet speaking from a background in Christianity, the president has been quite devoid of any suitable biblical knowledge or Christ like behavior - which is fine I suppose, to each his own but saying you have never had reason to ask forgiveness while behaving contrary to the standards of the bible is very very strange to an outsider like myself.

I'm glad John Oliver helped create this book for children, it will help teach children that it is ok to be accepting of people who love someone of the same gender and that it was done in a cute romantic way instead of a lust driven story you see around in furry fandom, makes the whole situation seem more beautiful.

I think children should not even think about different forms of sexuality, or even sexuality at all. This really isn't a subject that children should be learning about. Mind you, their minds are still developing, and the family, NOT society is ultimately responsible for the environment that they grow up in.

It's not about sexuality. It's a love story. So you're saying kids shouldn't learn about loving another person for who they are? That they sholdn't learn to love a person of the opposite sex, or they shouldn't learn to love a person of the same sex, or they shouldn't learn to love a person of the same race, or they shouldn't learn to love a person of a different race, or they shouldn't learn to love a person of the same nationality, or they shouldn't learn to love a person of a different nationality? Seems to me that's the major problem in the world today, especially when the leader of one of the most power countries on earth is spreading hate and torments on those that don't look like him.
