As a lot of you may know from Shiny’s reference, Shiny arrived at Triepeaks City where he got taken in by Lamplight_Labs, the biggest contributor for everything in the magic-and-science industry of the country. The modern society of the Furra, the furry world, has brought up all sorts of practical and fun inventions.
It's basically a place like FurAffinity is as a community where all sorts of different species live peacefully together and stuffs getting supervised by people who take care of things all staying in order and people getting along with each other.
Through the combination of magic and science, they were able to create something that improved the lifestyle of everybody: the ToonyGen!


What is ToonyGen?

It is an inoculation-based therapy that people usually get at child age like other sorts of vaccinations at their doctor of choice. It gives people the qualities of a Toon, marking them as being "Half Toons" which are people who weren't born/hatched as Toons.
Toons as you probably know can do things as get stretched, flattened, inflated, popped, etc. without taking serious damage from it and pretty much popping back into shape short time after. People who use ToonyGen aka have their bodies accomodated with ToonyGen after enough vaccination sessions (usually will be given over several sessions over a longer time period around one year or longer) can practically do all sorts of things and stay safe from damage caused by toony mischief and such making a living together in the modern community much more convenient and fun for the people. Nobody has to be afraid to accidently pop when they like to play Inflation based games and living with macro people who at times tend to stomp around won't do anything but possibly flatten people.

As you see, the idea behind ToonyGen simply is it to make a canon explanation for how most different styles of characters based of subjects like the fetish art etc. can work in one world. There exist things like magic, toon logic, science fiction and more all together and people simply live a very peaceful and surprise filled life together. Some in urban areas, some in natural areas, some in places with giant people, some with possibly very small people, pranksters, magicians, regulars, scientists, even the types who easily reform houses whenever something is broken and so on.
There are of course several ways ToonyGen gets used as a product. For example, it can be used in spray cans in order to give anybody the effects over a brief while or repair a character that got melted, squished or popped a bit quicker. A side effect can be that a character at some days can happen to have four instead of five fingers. (cartoonists might get what I mean, hehe. ;3)
ToonyGen doesn't keep a character from catching a cold or other health problems but in the least it helps in regard that things can be a bit more silly in the world. =D


What does it mean for Shiny?

Shiny who arrived at Triepeaks and got taken in by the professors of Lamplight_Labs got the qualities of a Half-Toon from ToonyGen therapy. That treatment gave his body certain qualities like his body becoming rather squishy, comparable to a sponge or spring or a bouncy ball. That way he can for example rest on his backplates or receive a strong hug and his body just compacts like a squishy toy. Of course, like the locals of Triepeaks, Shiny can get involved into whatever fantastic or wacky situation some might like to think of.
The worst that usually can happen for Shiny is that he might end up dizzy and knocked out when somebody is overdoing it but the fun regarding it is that he usually is quick to get back on his feet and ready to play more around with others.
Even better, Shiny who is already able to hold his breath for a long while as a water type Pokémon can basically stay in whatever spot without the actual need to breathe. Thanks to the ToonyGen things simply become much more simple and silly.


Other things yet regarding ToonyGen

Like I said, ToonyGen is something that is basically in all people who like to go about things with more of a non-realistic way to approach things. And the nice thing is that each person who uses it gets to decide for themselves to which degree they like to treat how things are working. From simpler things on how much a character can eat and if they need to use a bathroom to more wackier things like in which way gravity works for them in certain moments. The fun about cartoon physics is that you can go crazy and over the top with it.
Aside from that I just wanna warn you if you plan to use ToonyGen to cause too much mischief. Go for example on a spree of flattening people everywhere and some toony police officers might use their long arm of justice to get you with a hammer and make sure things stay equally fun for all people in town. ;3

The doodle you see here was one of the many that my dude LeonTheKittyCat sent me between our chats. There existed a colored one which had a low resolution only so I took colors from his version and was so free to color in the high res version after his example.
I love it lots still that some of my dudes here enjoy it to help me in bringing fun examples of how Shiny and his world to life. ^_^
Brakk was quite as toony as usual here, in a way one could say he's a bit of fourth wall breaking here even. Who knows how he managed to turn Shiny into a wallsticker here. Maybe he meant to give Shiny a hug and glomped him a bit too forceful or maybe he had a rolling pin at his arsenal?

His lineart goes in those flowing strokes which give the art a neat dynamic. Shiny's neckerchief might be missing here but the cute expressions make up for it. I could have tried to add mor colors in but I wanted to keep it mostly simple to add for the comic style that my dude uses for a bunch of his toony doodles.
