The thing is, they work counter to the way one would react, getting tighter on one's fingers the harder the fingers were pulled apart from each other. To release one's fingers from the trap, one would need to bring their hands together. Unfortunately, this lightbulb flashes on usually after one has struggled and somewhat given up...
This image is so wonderful to me as it brings back so many memories of good times at the Arcade and the great times I had there with friends. It amuses me to see that the happy Vixen "Peaches" is so pleased with her Prize while it's obvious Arkadedemo is frustrated by the Siamese finger trap.
Egad, I do not want to admit how much time and quarters I spent in the arcade in my college days =^^;
You really have nailed the details here, from the Data East logo, to the glowing red of the coin slots, crap I think I even recognize that carpet pattern!
Love the facial expressions! Joy, consternation, and concentration!

Very Awesome, both in the the location and in the details.
Luckily for me when I need my fix I can visit the Replay Museum
which is just a mile or so down the road from my place of employment. ^^
