Tarbh Challenge - Delay
My first attempt at the Tarbh challenge idea run by
GraveyardGreg, where you are prompted to write a mini-story on a phrase or single word in just 100 words!
This week's challenge word: Delay.
Any comments welcome. :3

*grins* To be quite honest, I love this format. I'd be the last person to say I was any good at it, but... it appeals to me. I like taking words out, concentrating things down. Something I learned from reading Chekhov when I was doing my A-Levels.
It isn't always the right way to write, but it's a good skill and a lot of fun. How much can you cram into 100 words... it truly causes me to stop and think about the meaning of each word and throws into sharp relief the shape and structure of every sentence.
Rah. I love it.

Indeed, on both counts. Though consider perhaps that the doctor may have been saying nothing not because he felt no sympathy, but because he knew that she'd made a tragic mistake and could think of nothing he could say or do to make it better.
Thanks for reading! :3
Thanks for reading! :3
I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to achieve when I started this, but I figured that being able to get feelings across in the space of just 100 words would be a good challenge to set myself within this one. I'm glad you thought it was successful in that regard! Thanks ever so much Miss V! * hugs *

Hah! That's kinda funny! ..Not the story, I mean, that would make me heartless, but on the topic of 100 words.
I once came up with this silly thing to add to the saying, "A picture says a thousand words," but I've always found good literature to be more effective than a picture; "but a hundred words paint a picture."
Funny how effectively you proved this silly thing I came up with~. x3
