The part you're supposed to hold looks a little short though, compared to the hugeness of the rest of the weapon.

Proportions look about right to me - particularly if you consider the possibility that the magazine itself may be intended to double as an extended grip. On the other paw, it may naturally be a long-barreled weapon (ex: the classic 1911) and thus just look a bit more off-kilter than one might expect.

The front of the weapon (along/in the frame) also appears to have a tactical flashlight built in/attached, which messes with the reflexive thoughts most people have with such weapons. Similiar case if the magazine is an expanded capacity one and thus extends beyond the end of the pistol grip.

Yeah, you're probably right. It does look very front-heavy though.

Actually that's an underbarrel mounted shotgun, single shot but capable of upsetting whoever may be caught offguard by it.

I'd have to see something to put it into perspective to make a judgement call myself. ^^
