Did this in class. And yes, people were impressed. And by impressed, I mean they didn't speak to me or make eyecontact. Probably because it was a cryptography class and most of the people in there were in their 40s and I'm some 24 yr-old punk. And that's supposed to be a llama in the cockpit, but I fail-whaled it.

Buy a dark dark dark sheet of construction paper or black foam to put on the opposite side.. otherwise if the paper is thin, your scan might pick up the reverse side. It was a trick I figured out when I was playing with scanners before. But ah.... I won't revisit all the 'lessons' learned there.
