Young Malacaroos [Ma-la-ca-ro.os] had had the bad luck of travelling from Meviek to Ceal across the Causeway in the River of Dreams exactly at the time the Nightmare Dragon attacked and destroyed the causeway. He was washed ashore another dream and had to fight his way through various dreams. Upon encountering his first nightmare, he was forced to flee and entered the realm of Somnius, The Ancient of Dreams. He gave him the Dreamblade, which would allow him to cleanse any nightmare he encountered. And so he continued his journey, and soon found himself in a village of travellers stranded in the river of dreams. Afterwards, he continued to traverse the River of Dreams, and eventually managed to defeat the Nightmare Dragon, and make his way back to Ceal.
