Okay, this story is probably one of the least like my others, but I have enormous fondness for it. The voice of it makes me think of "The Tale of Desperaux" (the original book), which has a fairy tale feel but with some modern feel to it as well. I hope other folks enjoy it, too.

Yep, I read "The Reluctant Prince, the Sympathetic Princess, the Beautiful Gypsy-boy, and the Sensitive Dragon" back in the days of Ten Furcent, and got just as big a kick out of it today, when I sat down and re-read it. It's the most charming tale you've ever written, a kind of gay-positive Princess Bride, if you'll forgive the comparison.
Victor and Sasha make quite a couple, and the fairytale (ha!) ending is sweet as honey on the tongue.
