Kyuutsune (kyuusu + kitsune) are mystical teapots with red fox bodies

Tea begins to magically form within the pot when the fox body matures, at about ten months old. An adult kyuutsune will have a special blend of tea within its head that reflects its personality and location. They don't seem to need to eat, but may choose to add flavour enhancers to their heads such as berries, oils, leaves, spices, etc.

When one decides it's time to have a child it steals or finds cups from human tea sets and regularly pours its own tea into the cup for several days until it starts to turn into a teapot and grow a body and legs. Each teapot style and colour is dependent on a mixture of the tea set the cup was taken from and the parent's own style, so they vary greatly

Fox colouration should always be realistic fox morph colours, and usually red fox typical markings but may very rarely develop into unusual ceramic patterns

Lost lids, chips, and cracks can be recovered by other kyuutsune sharing their tea, but the mixing will change its original tea and head style into something different once it heals

They're difficult to find let alone catch, but legend says if a human forcibly drinks kyuutsune tea, their skin will turn to porcelain and they will die. But, they say if the tea is shared willingly, a human can obtain immortality
