You just cut a bit of paper or card into an 2.5 inch by 3.5 inch rectangle - the size of a trading card. Anything will do really (I use a 185 lb stock, but I've started using bristol card and it's amazing, but you can use paper or whatever you have). There's no rules: you can use pencils or markers or whatever you've got. I'm not fussy if it's a bit over or undersized too - I trade 'em solely for fun :D
