The elderly shaymin walked up to the podium and climb it’s short steps. He paused looking over the crowd of young students with their parents, all gathered to participate in this years camp. He smiled to himself and then looked to the left, then to the right, behind him. He saw his vetted and ready staff eager to begin their training and shaping of the young pokemon before them. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath and began to speak.

“Good morning parents and children, welcome to the Poke Star Ranger Camp, where the bright minds of our future learn to reach for the stars. Our goal is to embed in the children we’ve been given the privilege of working with a sense of personal pride, dedication, and hard work ethic, so that they may become productive members of our society. Hopefully, by the end, some may even want to enroll in our full scale Ranger Academy, ahemm, but that’s neither here nor there, today we gather to welcome you all to our camp, tell you a little about what we’ll do this summer and to introduce ourselves to you.

As many of you may know from past years, this camp instructs children in the ways of basic outdoor survival skills , peer cooperation and teamwork skills, and with a strong focus on astrology and understanding life beyond our planet. But this year, I’m happy to announce a new dynamic to our camp! This year, we’ll actually be taking a two week field trip to the Moonstone Space Station! That’s right kids, we’re going into space, with signed parental permission forms of course. So first we’ll do the normal outdoor ranger training here on planet and then it’s off to the stars.

Oh yes, and for those who are wondering, my name is Shane O’Shaymon. I am the Head Director of this camp and I’m also the Director of the Northern Sector of Moonstone Station, which has a study focus on Galactic Defense. So, if any of you kids are interested in learning how we Rangers work to protect the planet from alien threats, I’ll be seeing you at some point on the station. I’m now going to turn the mic over to my other Director colleagues.
