Xeli Zem'ki, A Sin of Envy
A design I ended up keeping.
Nothing sharpens sight like envy. It is a never ending hunger; no matter how much you gorge you never feel satisfied.
An endless state of starvation is dangerous for a hunter who is on the prowl, hungry eyes lusting for their next meal.
Once their eyes become fixed on their next prey, their envy will consume you.

The sins are the pandora's box of the world, curses left by the desires of man. One of these cursed sins, Xeli, is the personification of Envy. He causes insatiable desire wherever he goes, himself feeling envious, malicious, and resentful of others. He is never truly happy and his satisfaction doesn't last long. The rare occasions when he achieves his goal, in just a few short moments, becomes tainted the moment his eyes gaze upon the next best thing. His satisfaction soured in an instant. These envious feelings take a toll on someone over time, the constant feeling of never feeling like he's enough has caused many events in his life to hate his curse. After a few lifetimes of the suffering, Xeli decided to pour his energy into finding a way to remove his curse. If he was no longer the embodiment of envy, he could carry out a normal life without the weight of constant resent weighing him down.
For lifetimes, Xeli attempted at living his life, attempted to forget the curse and fight against it, but to no avail. He opened his heart to men and women who meant something to him, most returning those feelings, however one person can only stand so much. It is hard always feeling resentful and jealous, never feeling like you were enough for the other, and being in a relationship with those constant feelings never work. In time Xeli found himself alone. One of these lovers was the sin of Greed. As you can assume, two insatiable curses are not compatible. With the same dream to be rid of the curse, they sought all magic in the world to cure their madness so they could be together... but in being unable to break free from their desires, their desires broke them apart as one only has a select amount of patience. When Greed disappeared from the world, Xeli gave up any hope of lifting the curse.
Xeli was left as broken of a man as he would the hearts of those he once loved, and that over time has only made his hunger worse.
