Zander has the ability the possess other dragons, but possessing Cecil body is difficult since he is bonded to him so Cecil has to agree to it in order for the possession to work other wise he can’t.

If he agrees this is how it goes; Zander puts you to sleep and enter though the mouth or ear. When Zander leaves the host the dragon has no memory of what happen before the possession and becomes weak and tired.
