I've never liked invincible preds and though they almost always get their meal a crowd of peasants with torches and pitchforks could see off 95% of my critters. So they have to be sneaky, whether they are intelligent humanoid preds like Striper and Sandra or hungry animals like these two.

True. And it's not like I usually mind, but what with there being kids, with dad coming in for a rescue just for him to end up devoured too... I'm too much of a softie to take that in a stride. The story itself works great, no issue there. Just managed to deal me a blow below the belt, that's all.

Oh, I'm well aware that the story needs to be dark for some people to enjoy it, so this is clearly one for them. It's me who should learn to stop reading when it becomes obvious what the prey are, though in this case at least the keywords were of no help.

I'm not sure how I could tag these to propertly explain exactly what is going to happen without spoiling the plot. At least they were teenagers and not even younger kids.

Well, like you said, the plot in shorter vore stories does tend to be rather predictable, so there isn't overly much harm in tag spoiling. Though I guess that on this site putting something like "underaged prey" in the keywords would be asking for trouble, so I am at a loss as well.

I did that once and got a ban for incredibly trivial reasons. Just referring to a prey bunny as "young" in the same story (but a thousand words away from) sex with "child prey" in the description was all it took. Now I've reverted to no mention of sex at all if there are young characters in the story.

Yeah. But so far at least you haven't gotten in trouble due to young prey. Drachenfyr has had several of the videos he has posted on his channel banned due to being "child pornography". That despite the shows the clips are from having been originally shown at prime time slots on saturday mornings.

Well, it's not inconceivable that young prey might get banned here. That would just require me to age up the occasional young victim. "All prey swallowed alive were at least 18 years old. Honest."

While typically predictable, I admit, I have had a few surprises over the years reading some shorter vore stories. They are most certainly out there.

Yes... except for ones like mine which involve regen.
Although I mainly do that because I'm lazy and don't want to have to limit myself or deal with complicated plots.
Regen is convenient! (and often very filling! :P)

Regen is great if you want to write preds who aren't utter sociopaths. There are different types of preds and not all have to be bad - even fatal vore is fine if the pred is a designated executioner for example. But if you want a pred who isn't killing people at all you need reformation or safe containment (endosomataphilia).

In the main universe I focus my story writing efforts in, regen is a part of vore in general, and while optional, is completely and entirely expected, to the point where many aren't even aware it's optional. In fact, one of the main points of the 2nd story series is an enormous misunderstanding when a group of preds start killing their prey rather than regenerating them, and the whole thing is blown completely out of proportion, even leading to one of the most massive and long lasting wars in history.

Nah. The real trick is to make it so normal you can eat people right out in the open and no one care.
