Leo's Brother Casey getting a check-up at the Augment Clinic.
DuskyArtz took time out of his Masters School Nightmare to help me with getting a pose I want. Casey not only has Augmented legs, but an Augment along his spine. How He lost his legs is a bit of backstory that may be depicted later. What do you guys think?

*inhales deeply* I love the detail on his cybernetic limbs, it's not something you really see too often, the maintenance aspect of it. I suspect most people are more focused on all the neat toys and such but I don't get the feeling that's the case with you. The emotion Casey presents on his face kind of makes me think he's remembering how it happened or maybe just thinking about what it felt like to feel his toes in the sand. Something melancholy for sure.
I've no doubt his feet are far superior to flesh and blood equivalents but there is something to be said for nerves and muscles at times. No doubt he's used to the regular maintenance. It's a nice thing to see.

That's a really well thought-out comment, Lauren. I mean, yeah....thanks! Casey is a sad character; I think it adds a sympathetic charm to Him. His cybernetics are due to Him having an accident where Leo volunteered to have his augments to his hand/arm done during Military service. Casey tries to be cheerful, goofy, seems very carefree and runs through the city like his playground; think Mirror's Edge, but his Augments often cause Him pain and that will affect Him in story if I ever get around to it.
DuskyArtz is a fan of cyberpunk and and now He's got me hooked; good cyberpunk keeps things grounded and relatable; things like cybernetics can't be "neat toys" like you said because then they'd be magical mcguffins. I think a lot of people treat them like that and I used to also.

I remember, and it does, it always makes me want to sit and listen to him for a while, just so he knows someone cares. Though absolutely, I imagine such folks often deal with phantom limb syndrome or phantom pains, it's so much more compelling that way.
I think a lot of people just slap a robotic arm on their character and think, cool, now he's got lasers and so on and don't really use it to develop their characters in a realistic way. For every plus, there is a minus. It's not always a good thing, for them or others. The real world is a mixed bag, as should be most things in a good story.
