You may probably want to read the original novel by Henryk Sienkiewicz first before watching it. Polish culture is really what I am intrested in, I've even tried to learn some Polish language. Among all the books I read those are written by Poles, one of my favourite is this novel, and the other one is the epic Pan Tadeusz.
