It's been at least four years or so since I've actually touched FL or finished a song.. I used to use FL4 I think, though I recently got hooked up with FL8 and I've been learning the features again, etc. Anyway.
I was bored, always liked the original version of this song so I started using the sheet music to learn it on the piano. From there, I remixed it quite a bit, put in my own versions of things and all that fun stuff. Basically I wanted to go for a slower version than the piano version, while keeping the mellow, dark feel to the song. I think it came out pretty decent. ;D Go easy on me! Haha.. really been too long since I've made music, need to get back into it honestly.
menwithmachineguns was originally a cover band, mostly for covering video game soundtracks/etc, that I made back 6-7 years ago when I was in a hardcore/screamo band. Some of the members of my original band and I covered "Otherworld" (go figure).. though the original band broke up, and I went on to another band and eventually my solo projects. I usually prefer to make original music, though it's been fun being able to try my own version of a song.
Although I usually tend to make the beats for my music,
mukihyena did the beat for this one and I liked it too much so we just went with that, haha.
Anyway.. I don't consider this a finished version, so I've just been labeling it as a demo for now. Lemme know what you think! Favs are good, but I'd definitely like comments about it. ;D Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, the new version is already over 7 minutes long and I've changed quite a bit.. I've also been working on another FF8 remix and whatnot. x-x
I always liked FF8, FF6 and FF7 were some of my favorites, and FF8 was up there with them.. didn't really care for most of the FF's after 8.
